Climate change is an undeniably large problem—arguably the biggest of all. This, precisely, is what has us think individual action is pointless. But of course, every great human enterprise has called on our species to put the world above themselves. None of it is fun. None of it is easy. But it has ensured the triumph of the greater human project and the propagation of succeeding generations. If we can’t bestir ourselves now, we are going to owe those generations an explanation — and an apology. For the moment, the Earth is where we make our stand and we must do our part in ensuring its persistence.
